NBCC Foundation announces that applications are open for the 2018 Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) scholarships. The available scholarships are the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) scholarships, and the CCE professional development awards. Both created by NBCC Foundation and made possible by generous corporate support from CCE, an organization that provides practitioners and organizations with assessments, business support services, and credentialing. Created in 1995 as an affiliate of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), CCE credentials more than 25,000 practitioners globally in a variety of fields.
International Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Scholarship:
The goal is to increase the number of available professional counselors providing quality career development services. 2 scholarships of $2,000 each are available for GCDFs in Europe.
- Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must either hold an active GCDF credential in good standing and be enrolled in an advanced education program in counseling or be a student currently enrolled in both a GCDF training program and a postbachelor’s counseling program, as appropriate to their country.
- Must commit to providing career counseling services for two years.
Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) Professional Development Award:
This award aims to advance the professional identity and development of CCE c redential holders. 4 awards in the amount of $500 each are available.
- Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Currently hold a CCE credential, maintained in good standing for a minimum of one year.
- Promote their CCE credential or contribute to the related field through one or more of the following:
- Providing credential-related training for others.
- Bringing programs that promote the credential to their campus or organization.
- Delivering a presentation at a relevant conference.
- Conducting relevant research.
- Writing for a relevant publication.
- Holding leadership positions in relevant groups or associations.
- Mentoring another who is pursuing the credential.
